Meet Our CEO
Anne François is an innovative communications strategist and storyteller with more than a decade of experience working within mission-driven organizations. Her career has spanned national advocacy groups, grassroots nonprofits, philanthropic foundations, and large public institutions—always with a focus on aligning communications with a deeper purpose.
She has held communications roles at the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, where she helped amplify arts, education, and community initiatives across New Jersey; at Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central and Southern New Jersey, amplifying reproductive health and rights messaging for a broad and diverse audience; at the Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office, uplifting global human rights and climate justice stories; and at the New York City Department of Education, supporting communications for the department’s initiative NYC Men Teach. These experiences have allowed her to hone her ability to craft narratives which resonate across sectors and communities.
Anne founded Narrative North to bring that expertise to a broader community of changemakers. Her approach blends strategy with creativity: she builds messaging frameworks grounded in data and insight while centering the human stories at the heart of every issue. As CEO and principal strategist of Narrative North, she works closely with nonprofit leaders to develop newsletters, campaigns, and social media strategies that move people to action while honoring the communities they serve. Her goal is to help organizations find their voice, tell their story, and build narrative systems that make change possible.
